Image Bank - Depth

















Depth is closely related to form as shadows are used a lot in this topic as well. In Photography, depth is used to show the distance or the size of a scene. Depth also gives the image a 3-dimensional look, automatically making the place where the picture is taken seem important and powerful. In most of the pictures above, blurring is used to further emphasise the depth of the scene or object, almost creating an illusion making it seem like it has more depth.
